1,622 Minus 1

It was only a matter of time, I suppose.

Actually, I'm surprised it took this long.

I am officially taking myself out of the A-Z Challenge.

Have no fear, though!

I will still write the posts I already planned on Social Anxiety, Tattling, and Encouraging Independent Play.

They just won't be today.

To those of you still in it, be strong! I'll still be reading!

 Have a lovely day!

  3. I really enjoyed as far as you got. But I really need that post on tattling, so I'm definitely staying tuned :)

  4. Even though I don't have a young family I've really enjoyed reading your posts so far. It's a shame you feel you can't continue with the challenge but with such a busy family life I'm sure other things must take priority. Well done for getting so far! :)

    1. I'm glad you've liked them. :)

I am sad not to finish, but things kept stacking up against it. When it is no longer fun, but instead makes me stressed, it's time to stop. Ha! Guess I could have done the s day with stop and pulled out tomorrow. :D

  5. I never do these challenges, but I so enjoy what everyone comes up with. It's a lot of work and you've a big family.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

    1. It is a lot of work, which I don't mind. I just don't like to do it at midnight. :)

  6. You know I was saying yesterday that Im just not into it this year. I was thinking of withdrawing but I dont even have the excuse of a thousand children, pigs and chickens...You have done a stellar job and your posts are always a great read ... you dont need a hop to make that happen... do what's best .Totally off topic: I had a really hard day at work today and found myself looking at my Turken valentine (that is taped over my desk) and thinking... "That kid is really cute!" It helped.

    1. Oh, I am glad the picture helped on a poopy day.
It's a rough challenge. There were just too many things conspiring against me this go round. I'll be cheering you on, though!
      And thanks. :)

  7. hey!! I got a couple of oddly titled Posts that I'd be happy to lead you! Ubiquitous comes to mind…
this has been fun in a way that strikes even me as odd, with you and the others, a replay of high school, except, this time I'm accepted in with the cool kids…. (I said it was odd! lol)

    1. You are part of the group, but speaking for myself, I was never part of the "cool" group. Ask my siblings. :)

  8. You're the one who made the Challenge look so easy that I did it last year for the first time. Then I found out it wasn't easy ONE BIT, so I know why you have withdrawn. I'll miss the daily posts, but I get it.

Can you parcel out your ideas for the rest of the alphabet? I'm looking for something for "X"....

    1. Not one bit easy. You are certainly having a ball with it, though. I'm glad. :)

Well, seeing as how I'm not on pinterest, I'm not gonna be much help...

  9. 'T' Thursday! the 'first-girlfriend/boyfriend-that-you-don't-go-out-with-anymore-but-still-wonder-if-maybe-someday-you'll-end-up-back-together-because-you-have-so-much-history-together' Day of the Week! Who out there does not like Thursday? Sure, it's not Friday (the seems-pretty-hot-from-your-friends-description-blind-date Day of the week) and Tuesday's kind of an agreeable Day of the Week, right? But there was always something about Thursday that had a sense of 'ok, you got a big test tomorrow, but there's nothing you can do about it…so relax! accept the inevitability of the process that you are in, you're ready for anything!
Thursday is named after the mythological god, Thurman, who was the god of cramming-for-the-end-of-the-week-test, held in reverent esteem in most college dorms and many high school study hall. And is also the source of the expression, 'what? guess it's going to be another all-nighter'

*Christine…feel free to edit as appropriate, far be it from me to try to change your mind and the April 'fun with letters' blog challenge. I kinda suggested over at the Doctrine that people might want to stop by and donate any mostly written letters posts…

  11. Oh no and I just got here. Oh well, I'm surprised I'm still in it. My attention span makes a two year old look attentive.

  12. Hope all is well there. I didn't commit to the A to Z challenge until I had everything written ahead of time (and I could only do that because I wrote at most about 4 sentences per post!) I've been totally unplugged for the past week, and it has been so nice.
