I'm Back with a Little Photo Teaser, TToT #94

We returned from our 2nd Annual No Plans, Back Roads Spring Break trip late last night, and we have a full day of things to do today, so I'm just going to be giving you some never-before-seen-on-Instagram photos as a little intro as to some of the things we did.

I am so very grateful for all the fun things we got to do and all of the beautiful things we were able to see.

What things did you see or do this week for which you are thankful?

    1. Looks like you had a brill time, unfortunately I didn't get time to check your Instagram so I'm looking forward to reading all about your trip.

I love the first photo with the stream tumbling over the rocks; I bet the water was freezing though!

    2. You are! Congrats!

We had a great time. I did not put even my pinky finger in the water, because the water had to be freezing.

  4. How fun. I knew you'd all have a great time and it sure looks like you did. It's good to spend quality time with the kids. They grow up so fast.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

    1. Now that Phoenix is closing in on 17, I'm overly aware of how fast time is going. I am treasuring every single moment.

    1. It is some of the most beautiful terrain in the US. I love visiting the area. It's hard to take a bad photo, really.

  6. The steam with the rocks is gorgeous! I'm thankful to be sleeping in a little extra this week instead of getting up so early and getting my kid out the door for school.

    1. Thanks. I just happened to see it off to the side of the road. I guess there are so many waterfalls in Tennessee, they don't even bother making note of them.

Sleeping in is the best. Enjoy it to the fullest!

  8. I can't wait to hear more! I know I've said this, but you were exploring one of my most favorite (maybe most favorite) parts of this country. This girl loves Appalachia! And I really don't know what's better than leaping rock to rock in a mountain river or stream.

    1. I can see why it's a favorite. That area of the country is just plain beautiful.
We did a whole lot of jumping on rocks. Don't know why it's fun, but it is!

  9. Love the pics! Emma and I stopped at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi because you did last year. Only it's not really there right now. Just a big bunch of water where it shouldn't be. Seems the rivers are a wee bit flooded. We could SEE the road to take, but only because of the street lights that lined it, not because we actually saw pavement. Sadness and disappointment.

    1. Hahahaha!! I love that you stopped there! Sorry it was all under water. Did you have to cross the scary bridge?

    1. :) Actually, someone took up my reading time, but I don't mind it one bit. I just forgot to link it this morning when I posted it.

It was, no doubt about it.

  11. Looks like you guys had a fantastic time. Sometimes the unplanned, spur of the moment, get up and go plans are the best. I loved the sliding down the hill on cardboard pieces. Looks like the road trip filled up all of your senses and brought family joy!

  12. Throwing rocks into the river looks like GREAT fun. The rain does not. I'm glad you had such a lot of fun. Today I can't think of anything I saw which made me smile, except my Soulie. He made me smile.

    1. Throwing rocks is especially fun when Mom gets soaked in the process. :)

The rain wasn't bad, as it wasn't all that cold. The boys didn't mind it one bit.

Aw, I'm sorry there wasn't much smiling today, but I'm glad your friend was there to bring some happy to the day.

    1. Well, I was the one bearing the brunt of all that splashing, so for them it was just plain fun. :)

Aha! You shall see! I bet you'll never be able to guess. :)
