And yes, our children would have plenty to discuss about us!
Suzie:I noticed the same thing when I taught fifth grade. I told my daughter that when she was older and looking for a job, she would totally beat out those kids who don't have to do chores. Smartypants replied that she wouldn't be applying for a weeding job. I think she got the point, though. :)

Jen: There is a lot less complaining when the parents are working right along with them. We have relatives in South Carolina, so don't be surprised if we swing by for a swim someday!Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17209807996463889703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329563580023354380.post-12677928623870068142012-05-30T15:11:09.311-04:002012-05-30T15:11:09.311-04:00I am all about working together as a family and fo...I am all about working together as a family and for some odd reason if we are all working the complaints are about bug bites or heat not about the work! Looks like you got so much accomplished this weekend! If you lived closer Hubby and the kids could cool off in our pool. But that is such a long ride!Jenhttp://overholt8.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329563580023354380.post-79226160381596942052012-05-30T13:18:27.741-04:002012-05-30T13:18:27.741-04:00I think that is so great that you teach them to wo...I think that is so great that you teach them to work hard and that you do it as a family. So many kids I taught didn't have to do a dang thing in their homes, not even clean their own bedrooms. It sounds like such a wonderful day!Suzanne Bjornn Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10179564977228036510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329563580023354380.post-57163336508848001042012-05-29T19:10:44.695-04:002012-05-29T19:10:44.695-04:00I laughed out loud at the picture of Cuckoo squash...I laughed out loud at the picture of Cuckoo squashing that whoopee cushion! What a cutie! I'll bet that thing has an "accidental" rip in it by now! Lol!

Your weekend sounds perfect. It was hot, wasn't it?

My boys work hard, too, though not always with a happy attitude. I hear the same complaints...that ccording to them, they are the only kids they know who have to weed, split wood, drag limbs, mow and rake grass, etc. One more reason for our families to meet! Our kids will have a lot to commiserate about!! Lol!

So glad you had a wonderful visit with your friends!! What a treat!Raise Them Uphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15131235222116977410noreply@blogger.com
