I remember the first time Mum cooked some for dinner, I refused to eat it. I'd named them all and I was horrified at the idea of eating Sharkie.Kellie @ Delightfully Ludicroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18226603919012169939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329563580023354380.post-62266584962411863822013-10-11T22:49:43.496-04:002013-10-11T22:49:43.496-04:00So sad for Buttercup, one of life's painful le...So sad for Buttercup, one of life's painful lessons! Loved the chicken chase :-) Have this great mental image of you and Cuckoo doing the flapping sleeves thing, you are such an awesome hands-on Mommy, wish we could clone you for all those kids who could use this kind of one-on-one attention and love!Josie Two Shoeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18388032819905416258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329563580023354380.post-29736296090882372202013-10-11T17:46:54.277-04:002013-10-11T17:46:54.277-04:00WHOOT! Childrens logic can be so funny. I remember when I was a child, probably younger even than Cuckoo, and I asked my mum why a human's nose is in the middle of the face and not on the forehead - my childish logic thought that was just a completely wasted space!

I now have a mental image of Cuckoo wrapped up in your robe and your arms waving about wildly - hilarious!Tigermousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11386636767916316587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1329563580023354380.post-16068242005115993092013-10-11T14:01:16.804-04:002013-10-11T14:01:16.804-04:00Even though we don't eat home-grown animals, I...Even though we don't eat home-grown animals, I do remember the "a-ha!" moment of one of my daughters. When I asked her if she wanted to go to the store with me to pick up some chicken, she choked out, "You mean like THE BIRD?!" When I affirmed that was indeed what chicken was, she yelled, "DON'T YOU EVER, EVER SERVE THAT TO ME AGAIN!!!'

I didn't volunteer the meaning of hamburger.
